Gulya Polya

We visited this town for the museum there. It has a pretty interesting history in Ukraine. Here was raised the Anarchist Nester Makhno. 

The town of Gulya Polya became the center for his ongoing struggle against what seems to be everyone. He made deals in his life with the Soviets and also Pro Ukrainian organizations. Basically who ever he could use to further his cause of a free Anarchist Southern Ukraine. He as times fought against all sides involved in the infamous Russian Civil Wars from 1917-20. 

The museum here is very good. There is no English, only Russian and Ukrainian, but there are tons of visual artifacts so you can understand everything relating to the history of the area.
