Basalt Columns

This place was awesome! Just amazingly beautiful! You felt like you are in another world. It used to be a quarry, they are still doing work nearby, now it is just a small lake with these amazing columns of basalt rising up towards the sky! Most of the columns have 7 sides and rise to various levels so you can use them like steps to get down to the water. There weren’t many places for camping at the quarry here, but a great place to come for a picnic!
