Lake Yalpug

The largest Estuary in Ukraine! This lake is 39km long and 15 km wide with a maximum depth of 5.5 meters. The waters were clean and warm but the bottom of the lake was very rocky. Access to the lake for swimming is hard to find but is doable! 

This is the only drinking water for the near by towns and villages. In the lake there are over 40 species of fish. We also saw pelicans along with a myriad of other birds and wild life.
