Here are some abandoned places that we discovered in Ukraine

Mud Volcano

One of Monty’s favorite places in Ukraine! The last 4 km of road to get here was rather rough but doable in any vehicle.

There was mines in the area working in the late 18 early 19th century. They were abandoned and the place was forgotten. Then in 1977 there was an earthquake in Romania and after that this mud cone developed and it has been there ever since. The volcano has oil, gas and water that erupts out of it at different intensities.

There are actually a couple places where mud and things are bubbling up from the ground but only one place with a cone like a volcano.
