Here are some abandoned places that we discovered in Ukraine

Zaporizikovo Kurgan

This is a very nice burial mound dating back hundreds of years. It is the burial sight of Ivan Shirko. He was a legendary general and leader of Cossacks. Leading more than 50 battle and never loosing a battle! He helped in the fight against the Poles and he never pledge allegiance to the Russian Empire. He originally was buried in another village, that is now under a reservoir, and moved to this location in 1967 It is kind of set in the middle of nowhere but the view from the top of the mound is outstanding! There is also a small praying temple in front of the mound.
