Aula Bridgehead

In September and October of 1943 a bridgehead was forced across the Dnepr at the village of Aula. During the fighting thousands of Soviet and german soldiers died. During this operation a total of 29 Hero of the Soviet Unions awards were issued. Now there stand a very nice memorial to those who fought and died at this bridgehead.
