Klevan Church

You could see this church as you approached the city and we had stop to check it out. We were not disappointed but we were unable to go inside. Or even into the yard of the church as it was locked.

First built in 1590 from wood then made again in 1610 out of stone. It is a Roman Catholic church who’s icon was stolen in the early 1900’s and now is decorated with a copy. During Soviet times the church was abandoned.
