Nankivy Monastery

A rather interesting monastery. We both enjoyed it but its not worth going out of your way for. 

It was originally founded just after the first world war. It didn’t last long as the Soviet Union came to power and in the 1970’s was completely destroyed. Since the fall of the Soviet Union it was recreated and now is a working mens monastery. 

The bell tower it the highest in the Transcarpathia at 47 meters tall
