Tserkov Svyatogo Nikolaya

If you are looking for a peaceful setting then this is it. A huge blue church overlooking a small pond.

Built around 1866 this church was built by a family of craftsmen. Everyone in this village gave a little money and materials so that the church could be erected.

When religion was outlawed during the Soviet Union the villagers took home all the goods from the church and kept them safe. During WW2 the church was used as an hospital for a while. Then the retreating Germans tried to burn it down but the villagers were able to save the church. It was rebuilt and the villagers returned the goods they had been keeping safe for all those years.
