Castle Zyvgale

This was a place that had a lot of potential but in general we were left disappointed. When we were there the amount of trash around the area was terrible. There were also homeless people living there begging for money and drinking. So the atmosphere was rather unwelcoming. 

The castle was originally destroyed in 1648. The Soviet Union built a few buildings on the grounds of the old castle complex. Then recently it was decided to rebuild the castle. It was never completed but you still get the idea of what was there originally.
