Vinogradivskiy Castle

A really cool bunch of ruins in the middle of Vinogradov. 

First mentioned in Hungarian Chronicles in 903 nobody knows the true age of this castle. During the 1300’s the castle suffered many attacks and finally was in very bad condition. So bad that the owner just gave it to some local monks and built himself a house not far away. Finally, the castle was mostly destroyed at the end of the 16th century by Austrians. 

Now it is easy to get to and walk around gazing out over the city below. Maybe take a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
