Here are some abandoned places that we discovered in Ukraine

Saint Miklosh

This place is rather interesting. It’s a perfect example of a privately ran castle in Ukraine making enough money to keep going and slowly rebuild things to bring it back to its glory. Tours were free but donations were asked for.

Built in the 14th century during a remodel in the 1800’s a skeleton was found inside one of the walls…. Later during WW2 it was used as a prison by the Germans. After the war it became a place for the local city council among other things. In 2001 a local artist was allowed to do with the castle as he please and he and his wife began turning it into what you see now.

A nice place that is just off the main road and worth the time to stop and see.
