Korets Castle

An outstanding bunch of ruins of a castle! Really enjoyed stopping here and wandering around. Inside the castle there are plenty of flat spots for camping also. 

Construction of the castle started in 1386. The castle would have been surrounded by a mot when it was built, you still must use a bridge to enter the castle. Through the years it lost its importance as a castle and was turned into a palace. Unfortunately, it burned in 1832 and was never rebuilt after that. Now you have ruins with tunnels that run under the castle ground that you can go and explore. A fun place to visit and worth it if your in the area!
