Here are some abandoned places that we discovered in Ukraine

Popova Castle

One of the largest castle complex’s of the former Russian Empire. Popova Castle is still impressive to see today. They are also working on renovating it so make it more friendly and appealing to visit. There is some English here but the translation is horrible and some of it is not understandable. A hint be careful when saying the name or Ukrainians will laugh at you. Its pronounced more like Papova.

Built at the end of the 1700’s by Major General Popov. Built in the Gothic Revival style with elements of Barosque and Romance. The castle is still standing today! While some of the out buildings of the castle have been repurposed the main building is still there to serve as a museum.
