Zinkiv Castle

An interesting place but a little hard to find. From on top of the hill there isn’t much to see but once you find it there are a few room underground you can go in and explore. Look out the firing holes on the valley below!

 Built in the 1400’s it was partially destroyed by the Turkish. Then in the early 1800’s the remaining ruins housed police and a church. Then rumor spread that the remaining wall would fall and crush the houses in the valley below. So dismantling began in and now there isn’t much left but the views from the top of the hill are amazing!
