Rakovets Castle

Built in the early 1600’s this castle withstood many battles from attacks of Tartars to Cossacks and many more. Unfortunately, in 1768 there was a fire and the castle was never rebuilt. Over the years local people came and slowly dismantled the castle to use the materials for other things. There is only one tower standing to this day and what would have been the entrance to a pub. 

While it was interesting to come and see its not that amazing. With the main attraction being the one tower still standing its rather dull. The view of the Dneister here is very nice but the castle leaves much to be desired.
